After Nick fulfilled his obligation of helping Cheryl, Veronica Lodge and Tabitha crossover to the other realm in an attempt to bring their own loved ones back, and Sabrina was able to spend some time alone with Nick.
While Tabitha was none too pleased to see Sabrina use her boyfriend's body as a way of bringing back her own, Sabrina justified her actions by revealing Nick's expertise in necromancy. Despite pleading with him to come back for his girlfriend Tabitha's sake, Jughead refused to leave the peace and comfort of the Sweet Hereafter, but he did give Sabrina consent to use his body to bring back Nick. During the first resurrection spell Sabrina performed, she was tasked with bringing Jughead back from the Sweet Hereafter.
